Fall afternoon tee times are top tier. Nothing beats a full green course and still being able to wear pants and not having to sweat.

For me it's spring. I don't play during the winter months, although there are a few courses open in Massachusetts during that time. When late March and April roll around, that's when I start to really want to get back out there.

To hot and humid in So. Carolina in the summer season. Fall is the best time. Mornings are cooler (my favorite time) and mid afternoons are between low to high 70's.

    Can't beat warm weather
  5. Summer definitely beats any other season. The Sun stays up for longer periods of time, and I get to practice longer, and play on the course. The weather is perfect in the early mornings and afternoons.

Fall. Living in the Southeast and having to go through the heat and humidity May thru September. Fall, winter (fortunately does not last long in the Charleston, SC area, maybe a few weeks???, and spring are a welcome relief. Additional benefit, the tourists have left town. No disrespects sorry but in this area are the #1, #3 and #4 cities in population for the state, so you can you can imagine how bad the infrastructure is, horrible. Some come back permanently. Builders keep building, and no where to make roads bigger. Played yesterday and it felt like the first of May instead of the first of November. Being retired is a good thing. Fall but right now it feels like summer. Hakuna matata. It seems to be golf season 365 here.

I love fall golf, although you usually start fall with punched greens, a month after that, fall golf is awesome

Summer by far! The hotter the better, I like the sweat, struggle and challenge! Fall golf is 2nd place because the weather is good but sometimes wearing layers, finding a ball in leafs and lower sun in your eyes, can be annoying. Plus I hate winter/cold so starting your round warm and possibly sweaty but ending cook/cold isn’t fun. Too much to pack and layer. Winter has to be the worst for golf in the Midwest weather, but spring is 3rd place because of how much it rains here and can be cold, even snowing any day.
  12. Here in AZ, we have 4 seasons like everyone else (but Vermont which has 5). Summer - HOT but cheap, Winter -Nice but pricey, Spring Nice but short and pricey, Fall - Nice but short and pricey

Fall... pleasant temps, less people and the course is in it's best shape of the year.

I find the winter the best and why you may ask I live in Florida. When I do travel up North in the summer nothing beats playing golf in New England and that includes NY.

Really any time the temperature is in the 70s

I live in Western Washington State, so spring and summer are great times to play, warm and dry. Home is north Mississippi so late fall, winter and spring is great for golf. Summer not so much, HOT HOT! But really as long as it is not raining too hard, I am good to go!

I prefer Spring time golf. Being in Wichita Ks, once the temperature hits 50 it’s game on. After 4 months of winter I’m dying to hit the course!
  18. Fall is the most beautiful time of year in the midwest and, an extended summer like we’ve had this year, is a well earned bonus that extends the golf season.
  19. Early summer mornings are great. Spring is nice, after the chill of the mornings. Fall is great, break from the heat. Winter, if it isnt too cold, we are in business. I’m a North Carolinian, so we usually get all four seasons.

    My rankings:

    Fall
    Summer
    Spring
    Winter
  20. Fall golf in New Hampshire nothing better early morning cool temps and great scenery especially playing one of the lakes region courses
Yes the leaves can be a PITA but sure beats the simulator
