  1. Played with the AVX today after picking up a dozen. Great feel off the tee. Really exploded off the driver face. Was worried about greenside side, but actually love the way they held the green.
  2. To all my golfing buddies. I had a chance to play the new AVX titleist golf ball. One word long and soft. Distance off the tee, has always been an attribute to my game. This ball was 15 yards further than my normal proV1X. I would say it's longer than proV1X but has a softer urethane cover. Pricey, but a good ball.
  3. Awesome ball. Long off the club and green side control. Please keep making this ball! Thank you for a great product Titleist. I don’t mind paying a premium price as long as it performs like this.
  4. I have played the AVX for 3 rounds now. I have used the ProV1 & X for the last 6 or 7 years. Handicap between 3 to 8 during that time. The performance of the AVX is just great. I have Driver swing speed of ±95 to 100. For me this is the results I have experienced. The AVX is just a bit longer than either ProV. The spin off the Irons is great and they stop on the green better than either ProV for me. My Driver seemed to have less side spin and stayed in the fairway (could be result of recent swing change though). Lowered my score all 3 rounds by 2 to 3 strokes. Putts really good as well. I like it so much I want more of them even thought I have an inventory currently of several dozen ProVs. Hope they become available soon. I gave a dozen to a friend (scratch player) who used a sleeve and loved them.
  5. Been playing the new AVX for about six weeks. I am a very average , senior citizen golfer. I live in a test market area: Sacramento, CA.
Really like the new AVX ball performance. Been using the yellow color for visibility. Had played the NXT-S yellow, but like the AVX better. Seems longer, good spin around greens, putts well. Like a soft feel ball.
Price is a bit high at around $50 per dozen, but I rarely lose a ball so not a big problem.
I hope it stays on in the regular lineup of Titleist.

  9. I’m using the new AVX and love them. They are at least ten yards longer on every club.

I’ve played two rounds with the AVX in North Georgia. It was very cool during both rounds. The ball feels great off driver and irons. It does go further than my Pro V1. I was hitting irons over flags. Ball feels good off putter also. Main difference is in spin. Ball doesn’t spin as much as Pro V1. Chips seem to run out also with less spin. Not a big deal to me though. Overall a great ball and hope they continue it. I especially like the optic yellow that I like in the winter months on dormant fairways.
  11. Ok played these today it was cold out here in the Bay Area California great feeling ball definitely softer than both Prov’s I would say closer to NXT tour S in feel but longer .. now I haven’t really been playing a lot in the last two months maybe 3 rounds and usually play to scratch today shot 78 and was not having my best round but did notice a two things ..1st since it was cold I wasn’t trying to Hammer! that ball but instead just put a good move on it and the ball certainly jumped ..had two good drives today, a 327 a 309 and the rest were in the 295-300 area had two nice 250-260 5w’s that we’re really just nice swings but the ball jumped off nicely and went’ ..2nd was the ball movement.. I don’t know if it was me and the cold weather today but I can usually put a soft little cut on it and today I had around 6 shots with woods and long irons that I hit off the screws started left side and just held that line I mean they looked great lol they just never came back thinking maybe they might take a more to work the ball ..not a bad problem for sure..the other thing is it seemed not spin as much, I had an approach shot on 18 135 out of the rough..not bad still sitting up”.. over a 40 foot tree I thought I caught it pretty good and when it hit the green it released about 15 ft from the pitch mark .. i think that’s why I got the driver distance today because of roll .. in cold weather I’m usually good for around 290’s I’ll play it a few more rounds to get its gauge .. but in this one round what I remembered the most was it being long, straight, had a mid-high and boring ball flight and great feeling especially off the putter, I think I could like this ball a lot.. I definitely did not have to go after this ball even in the colder tempts today the ball was long on smooth swings , less work” made for a relaxing round , I think high and especially low velocity players will really like this ball

  12. I have played the pro v x since they 1st hit the market. Now that I’ve tried the avx I’ll never play anything else. They are longer, just a little, but every yard counts. What I love about them is they hit the green and stop, not too much spin. I’m a 3 hdcp and really hit down on the ball, sometimes a little to much spin, not with the avx. So I’m sold. I play 300 rds a year which is a ton of golf, this ball holds up really, really well. So yes I’m in love with all aspects of this ball!
  13. Purchased a sleeve of the new AVX yesterday in the Villages,Fl, ( or “Heaven” as we residents call it), where I am extremely grateful to live! I’m an 8 handicap & I’ve played ProV’s since they came out, but after playing 18 holes with the AVX, I have found a new ball!!! It is softer, it spins the same, BUT, it goes farther!!! A half club farther with irons & at least 10-12 yards farther carry with my precious Epic driver!!! I hit both the AVX & ProV this morning, & the AVX consistently had more carry!!! I’m stopping at the pro shop this afternoon to buy a dozen, Thank you Titleist,Thank you

Shot my lowest round of the year with the AVX in optic yellow.
  15. Played my second round with the new AVX & after playing the ProV since it’s inception, I am totally amazed that Titleist was able to provide (in my estimation) a better golf ball than the ProV!!! I’m an 8 handicap & play 18 three Times a week, so I am well aware of the way a golf performs!!! This ball is a GREAT Christmas gift from Titleist!!
  16. I play Pro VX 1 balls but tried the new AVX. The AVX feels softer and is more responsive around the greens but the gives me the feeling of a fat hit so I started to swing harder. When I slowed my swing down, I found the AVX had a higher ball flight and a longer roll out give me a 10 to 15 yard longer distance. Worth the extra money.
  17. Just tried the AVX today at Goose Creek and was impressed. I have been playing the Chrome X for a few years and this AVX is just as soft, flies great off the irons and is LONG! I am hoping Titleist keeps them in production moving forward as I am going to buy 2 dozen tomorrow!

Tried out the new Titleist AVX golf ball today. I'm a "young at heart", 70 yrs old with a handicap of 4. Weather here at Jacaranda Goif Club, Plantation, FL was 62, overcast, wet, & light fog. Got a couple of dozen for Christmas thanks to the Wife. I have been waiting for Titleist to come out with a softer golf ball and was very happy with the results. I normally play Prov1x. The balls dimple pattern is different than the ProV's. The AVX ball seemed to fly a little lower off the driver and rolled out a little further than the ProV's. The distance off the driver, hybrids and irons were not noticible different. I did hit more fairways today, and second shots off of my irons and hybrids into the green flew same as ProV's and held the green with very little roll out. When putting the ball rolled true to line (and even made a few). The velosity and spin to me only changed on my driver all other shots were just as playing the ProV1x. The sound off of the clubs were just as good as the Prov's and I felt the feel off of the clubs was exceptional. The AVX ball is easy to hit. Lots of players in our area have switched from Prov's to the SOB's (some other brand) of softer ball. Gave each of my playing partners an AVX to try out. They also had good and similar comments about the ball. But one player still like the price of his SOB better than Titleist AVX. Titleist would be remiss if they don't enter the "Softer Ball" market. However the price of the Titleist is higher than the other SOB's, they may want to think that over. But, then again you are playing Titleist.
  19. These balls are amazing! Fantastic feel and great control. The yellow has very high visability compared to others i have played. Only problem, i paid $60/dozen. That was way to expensive.
  20. Was playing Velocity then tried TP5. TP5 very high performance for me. Noticeable difference. Then I tried AVX. Very long and also good performance for me. A good ball. I usually am not to fussy about my ball. But TP5 was suddenly making a noticeable change for the better in my ball striking. Then when I played Pechanga ,the pro shop recommended AVX. Also a great ball for me,slightly superior to TP5. Now that they are carrying AVX at The Rolling Hills Country Club,I have bought a couple dozen. Try them.
