Mine is my best friend and she is also easy on the eyes so I get distracted sometimes. Plus she can hold her own (cutting up when playing with the guys) . How about you any other golfing couples?

Count me and my wife as another one of the golfing couples. Our regional golf association (the NCGA) holds multiple Mixed Couples tournaments annually and we do our best to attend as many as we can. We've been fortunate enough to win our flight. Most of the tournaments are a modified alternate shot format, so things can get rocky if the partnership is not solid on and off the course. It's always a treat when she'll randomly ask, "Hey, want to play a quick 9?"

Thanks Chuck! It’s been super fun to have a shared obsession with my hubby. Regarding the mixed couples scotch alternate shot format, it definitely lent to some rocky moments in our first couple attempts as a team. Abdon hates when I tell this story but I think it was our second time playing this format when we stopped speaking to each other after the 3rd hole. And after the last full shot was hit onto the green by me on hole 18, I turned to him and said “don’t you ever ever ever ever ever sign us up for this again! ) We happened to somehow win the tourney that day (way back in 2000) so of course he didn’t listen to me and we’ve since learned each others “golf languages” well enough that it’s much more fun competing in that format, haha.
