Chuck , have you tried arch supports in your shoes? If not it's better than surgery or drugs.Good luck my friend.

Not something that my neurosurgeon recommended for scoliosis, which I cannot have surgery for. Pain management is the only thing that can help me at my age, along with exercise and PT. Additionally, degenerative disc disease and arthritis all part of the aging process. Surgery is not on the table. Arches aok. Thanks for the suggestion. Think will just let the mind and body rest for a few weeks. Meds do help us avoid surgery. Keeps my PSA down.

Good luck with the recovery Chuck and hope to see you on the links soon. Enjoy your trips, they sound outstanding!
  5. Hello Mr. Chuck Z., I don't comment or make many post these days. I do read them though. And you my friend have always been one of my favorites. I have much respect for you and what you have to say in your post. So sorry to hear about the amount of pain you've been going through. I guess taking some time off will help you get through the process. I can relate somewhat after going through spinal cord surgery. I have pain every day in my arms and neck. But I can still play. Thank God! I hope you enjoy your vacations. Golf will always be there when you get back and feel better. Praying for your recovery.

    Play Well,
    Steve S.

Hope you feel better soon! Know that golf may transition into something not just 9 or 18 holes, but something like Dale discussed. When you love the game, you can find some facet of it that will make you happy. Stay positive!

Hey Chuck. I don’t comment very much on TT anymore because it takes me forever to legibly type something due to my Prkinsons tremor. I am a consistent voyeur though and appreciate everything you post. Your comments are well considered and presented. Great to see your long time Titleist support as well. As no one else has said it, it sucks to hear you are having to go through this. Life is what happens when we make other plans, this is coming from someone with Parkinsons, a pacemaker, bone on bone in most of the joints of my feet and a torn ACL in my right knee. I not only played golf but football, soccer and basketball. Paying for it now. The pain management injections can be a trial as that’s all I can get in my feet. I’m only 64. I refuse to give up and will continue to golf and use Titleist equipment. Not comparing my issues to yours, I just know how challenging it can be sometimes. Hoping health care can find some way to provide you enough support so you can remain active and find your way back to health and playing the game you love. Take care..peace!
I did not read all of the thoughts presented by your fellow TT members on your situation, hoping I haven’t duplicated anyones thoughts.

Back and feeling somewhat better. Sometimes in life we do have mental lapses. My dermatologist gave me some cream for a rash that rises up every now and then when it is summertime. I have another cream that goes on my face for a one time treatment to remove spots on my face that maybe suspect cancer cells. Do far it works and no cancer, but it burns like h**l. Not something you want to use in your groin area. Weeeeeeeeell, in packing, for the trip, and they both look very similar, I packed the facial cream and put it on while on vacation. NOT RECOMMENDED. Went to med clinic this am and going to Wound Clinic on Monday. Back and hip pain nothing compared to this. NP made me feel better by saying, after looking at the two tubes, very honest mistake, but that she had never seen anything like it. I said what a DA. Think the rest is helping. Going to spine pain management clinic Tuesday to discuss Epidurals for my hips. Back has improved thru PT. No more PT until groin area clears up and other parts down there. IT is BAD. Kinda funny but NOT. Has brought me to tears this am. Sept looks like an attainable goal. Purchased a Junior Orange whip so I can start swinging, at least, the feel of a weighted 8 iron. Thanks to all for all the good wishes. That is what TT family is all about. Kudos to all.

Somewhere between getting sunburns in my younger days (when Baby Oil was sunscreen) and my inherited Celtic fair skin, the worst part of Christmas is it is time to apply that cream to head, arms, and any other sites with scaling skin. 2-3 weeks to induce the blistering pain. I can almost feel your pain.
Keep working on your hip mobility and get back on course.
