  1. I have had a dramatic improvement this year. The amount of golf I am playing and quality of golf I am playing have went way up! I started this year with a 6.4 HCP and I am currently down to a 1.6 HCP. I give a lot of credit to the fitter I went to this year, he set me up with an entirely new set of clubs. I also have put in a ton of time at the range and on the course. It helps that I started a new job as a salesman this year, so my work allows me to take clients golfing which is excellent! Haha But hard work definitely pays off….keep grinding!
  2. I started the year with a 9.4 index and am now down to a 7.2. I did a lot of range work on set up and take away. I am taller than most, 6'3" so balance was not always so good. "Sitting down" more and slowing my takeaway have greatly improved my distance and greatly reduced my fat and thin shots.
Playing 3 year old Titleists but now understanding how great the clubs are. I was thinking of upgrading, but not in that much of a hurry as the last 6 rounds have all been in the 70's.
  3. Went from a 30+ handicap at the start of the year to a 15. Mostly attributed to the vast amounts of golf i have been playing this year compared to rest of my golf "career". Up until my shoulderblade found a nerve that it didnt get along with, I was playing 4 to 7 days a week. Previous years I would golf about 5-10 times a year maximum. Had a TSR2 5 wood that helped stretch my reach out quite a bit helping me find GIR more frequently. Recently replaced it with a 3-wood for a little better gapping. Going on a titleist ball plant tour soon because ive been considering upgrading from the $35-40 range of balls to the best of the best. Hopefully get some cool weather golf in after resting and fix my swing and posture a bit to not get that pesky shoulderblade/nerve interaction.
  4. I was a 4.8 handicap at the beginning of the season. I had a lot of time off work this summer to spend on my game and I was able to get my low index to 0.0. Officially a scratch golfer!! I’ve always had decent fundamentals (grip, path, etc.) but finding the right gear and working on my short game really propelled my improvement.
