    For Range:

I stretch... need the back and legs fluid, then focus on the shoulder muscles for rotation. Then I start with a wedge hitting full shots... work up through either the even or odd irons to the driver... then back down through the opposite numbers. I focus on the feel of the shot... so don't count the number of balls necessarily... until I hit them pure. Once I'm hitting pure, I then hit 3-4 to get that feel set in.

    For pre-round:
Much less in terms of balls hit... and focus more on finding that feel. Then more time on the putting green. Get a feel for the greens, the speed, and the roll.

For a pre-round warmup for an early AM tee time it's usually 10-15 minutes...so, it's stretch at home (stationary bike, bands). At the course, it'll be some wedges, then right into playing the first 3 holes on the range...so, my home course would be a draw with a 3 wood and 7 iron to the green...hole two is a part 5, so it's driver, 5 wood, wedge...hole 3 is a par 3 and can be anywhere from a 5 iron to an 8 iron, so I hit all 3. Then, repeat the tee shot two or three times before hitting the tee box...

A range session can be anywhere from focusing on 1 or 2 clubs, to working on gapping, or playing a round in my head and doing "random" practice instead of repetitive practice. Or testing out different balls on the home simulator. Right now, as we hit winter, I'm using the home simulator and mostly focusing on those clubs I was weakest with this past season. For me, that would be my 5/6 irons...also working on the new driver and 3 wood (TSR3s), and different balls under different conditions. I left some balls outside overnight in the cold, and others in the house nice and warm and comparing the difference...I don't really do simulated golf rounds on the sim yet, but probably will this winter (I have a Mevo+ and SkyTrak that I'm comparing).

I like to practice odd numbers or even numbers to get a wider spread of distances. Before a round I like to hit every club to check distances ending with the driver before heading to the first tee.
