    “Traditional” except for the 64.
  4. Vokey 60, 56, 52. Older and would like to try some new ones. Wedges and Driver are my next to replace?

Does anybody else have the raw metal version that are supposed to rust? What do you think about them?

I prefer mine to look clean and polished.

My Spy Golf lists the raw wedges rusted as a myth as regards increasing spin. Wedges have finely machined groves. Rusting is variable across the face and will increase variations in how they grab the ball cover.
Pros getting unique grinds at tournaments get raw wedges as they are easier to grind and get replaced more frequently than what we do.
If your latest irons have a set PW of less than 48 degrees, you may need to get fit for different lofts this time.

Only 3, all Vokey’s, 52-56-6. I got my T300’s with the 48* gap wedge or I’d like to have that one, too…

As one can see in my thumbnail, it is almost “traditional.” The 46 is bent to 44 so I’m using it in place of a 9 iron. 50-56-60-64 for PW-SW-LW-XW. 58-14K bent to 56 works in a wide variety of conditions.

And, as my thumbnail shows, I just added a 54-10S (bent to 53). I could bend the 50 and 54 to 48 and 52 to make it “traditional”; however, I like the 6* spacing between the F grind and K grind. I have 58-12D (56*) and a 58-14 (stock) in reserve. Also have a 695 iron set (CB 6 iron, MB 7-P).

I did go “traditional” after all. I bent the 50-08F to 48 and the 54-10S to 52. So now my streamlined playing bag has wedge lofts of 46-52-56-60-64. The 50-08F is paired up with my 695 iron set.

To update, I did bend the 50 to 48 and the 54 to 52. In the thumbnail that I updated today, this is a “streamlined” bag. I’m using a 48–10F bent to 46, 54-10S bent to 52, 58-12D bent to 56, 60-04T and a “Phil 64”. I had the 8 iron (716MB) bent to 39. This leaves space for an extra hybrid and a 58-14K for courses like Torrey.

In reserve I have a 695 iron set (CB 6 iron, MB 7-P). To “tighten up” the bottom end, can use the 695MB 8-9 and the 50-08F and have room for one club. I currently carry a strong 716CB 7 iron (32*). This gives the “traditional” 48-52-56-60 wedge setup with the added bonus of a 64.

I use me T150 Set PW and then 3 Vokey's - 50.08F, 56.08M (Bent to 55) and 60.04T. I tend to use my PW more often as a full shot, chip and pitch with the Vokey's so it seemed to make more sense to keep the set PW. Gapping worked better also.

    I have (2) 48's, a 52, a 54, (2) 56's, and a 58. I only allow 3 in the bag at a time, so they have to earn a spot each round.

    4 wedges for me too. 48.08 F, 52.08F, 56.12 D, and a 60.08M that I often leave out.

I’m really using the 48-10F (46*) in place of 9/P and getting deadly with it. My bag is unusual but works.

I’m pretty happy using a 60-12D bent to 58 instead of 58–12D bent to 56 and a stock 60-04T. I can carry the latter two and a stock 58-14K at Torrey. A D grind with 10* bounce works in a wide variety of conditions

My goal this year was to remove one wedge and get better at each. I have set T-300 pitching wedge at 43, I replaced my 48 with a SM9 F 48-08, and I have an SM9 M grind @ 56-08. I play primarily in very firm conditions in the NYC area.
I took out the 54 S and left the 60s (K, L, M) in the garage. I figured if I could manufacture shots with the versatile M grind than it will make my bag lighter and my game better.
