  1. Planning a trip to kiawah island for golf. Looking for what ppl think of renting clubs at the course? Not cheap to ship or check so trying to figure out options. Kiawah has titleist for rentals. Ts2 woods and t100 irons. Normally play tsr3 driver and 690cb irons

If you’re flying (not inexpensive) and paying standard Ocean Course green fees, why would you not spit for Ship Sticks or pay to check your travel club bag?

If you are playing multiple courses, that means multiple rentals. I would suggest just bringing your own.

I’ve only rented clubs when it was inconvenient to take clubs on a business trip and I was only playing a single round.

Delta, for sure, and likely the other major carriers only charge golf bags as standard luggage, not oversized. If you fly SW or have the credit card from the airline, they fly free.

Welcome to Charleston. Yeah, you have to fly in Charleston International unless you are flying private into James Island Regional Airport.
Did not say where you are flying from, but Delta has great deal on golf sports equipment if you are a AEX gold card member. I fly one free and $35 for the other. Are you staying at the Sanctuary on the Island? They might provide shuttle service to the courses, unless you get a rental car. Uber ride could be pricely from the airport which is about thirty to 45 minutes from the airport. The resort is awesome and the courses are great. Especially the Ocean Course. It is windy now, wear layers. Leave your ego at home and enjoy the Ocean Course. Play the course to have fun. The wind will be your friend and your worst enemy. If you get off the resort, have lunch at the Tomoato shed on Main Road. A local favorite with local dishes.
