Have a trip lined up and looking for suggestions for where to play. Already have tee time set for Harbor Town and need one more but not as pricey.

Oyster Reef can run around $100 to $150, weekday rate. Atlantic Dunes $200+, but worth it. Davis Love III redesign. Golf is pricey at HH Island.

If you don't mind golfing in the afternoon most courses get a good bit cheaper then.

I forgot to add there are some good deals on Golfnow. The two big resorts, Seapines and Palmetto Dunes, aren't on it but many of the other ones are.

Played Seapines and Palmetto a few years ago. Great courses. Really looking forward to getting back there.

I can definitely recommend all 3 courses at Palmetto Dunes. Played all 3 last week. RTJ course was the nicest but also the busiest. The other 2 were less busy and played 18 in around 3 hours.
  7. If you are going to be there for a week or more, consider Shipyard. It is not the best course around, but you can buy a 7 play card for less than $400.

Back in June I played RTJ course and Arthur Hills course at the Palmetto Dunes resort. Both course had aerated the a couple weeks before I had played, so there were still signs of that procedure. Both courses were in decent shape and fun to play. I liked the RTJ course more overall mainly due to the layout. I wouldn't say either course is difficult, however that is a relative statement.

I had initially planned to play Harbour Town Golf Links, but the had aerated the day before I could play, so there was no way I was going to pay that much to play on that kind of surface. Maybe next time though.

I was told from several of my playing partners that are frequent visitors to HHI, that Port Royal Robber's Row is their favorite course in the area. I will also try that course as well during my next visit.

Really enjoyed Atlantic Dunes and also recommend the Arthur Hills course at the Palmetto Dunes.

Leaving soon. Booked Shipyard, Oyster Reef, and Harbour Town. Can't wait. Just hoping that Hurricane Debbie didn't destroy them

Might want to call. A lot of courses closed to repair damage along the coast. The tropical storm did heavy wind and water damage. Tornados in some areas. I live 1.5 hr from there in Mt Pleasant. Hope all works out for you.
  12. We spend the month of March in a condo on the 9th tee of Atlantic Dunes; nice par 5 with a great view of the clubhouse.

Agree with what others have recapped.

The Sea Pines courses, (Harbour Town, Atlantic Dunes and Heron Point) can be pricey. Heron Point and Atlantic Dunes are both nice; occasionally, HP is priced slightly lower than AD. HT is overpriced in my view.

Golden Bear, in Indigo Run is a great layout. Conditioning can be spotty but I really like the course layout...several 420 yard par fours. Recall paying $80 via golf Now.

Just off island is Hilton Head National, good value as layout and conditioning is solid. Rates vary seasonally.....roughly $120.

All is clear down this way now. Most courses are open in our area. I live in Mt Pleasant, about an hour and a half north of HHI. Hope this post makes it, have had a number that did not go thru this week.

  14. I really enjoyed Heron Point
