Hi, planning a golf trip with a friend in early Feb in Florida.

We'll land in FLL and we want to play 1 game on arrival and 2 games a day for 7 consecutives days until we get back to Canada!

There's so many courses in South Florida, it's hard to pick. Maybe someone in this forum plays a lot down there and can check the schedule that was proposed to us. What would you suggest or change/add in terms of courses? Thanks for your input

Mon 1:00 PM Plantation Preserve Golf Club Tue 8:00 AM Palm Aire - Cypress Course Tue 1:30 PM Palm Aire - Oaks Course Wed 8:00 AM Miami Shores Country Club Wed 1:30 PM Normandy Shores Golf Club Thu 8:00 AM Trump National Doral - Red Tiger Course Thu 1:30 PM Trump National Doral - Silver Fox Course Fri 8:00 AM The Club at Emerald Hills Fri 1:30 PM The Club at Emerald Hills  -- Replay Sat 8:00 AM Woodmont Country Club Sat 1:30 PM Woodmont Country Club  -- Replay Sun 8:00 AM Eagle Trace Sun 1:30 PM Eagle Trace Mon 9:00 AM Jacaranda Golf Club - East Course Mon 1:30 PM Jacaranda Golf Club - West Course

Couldn’t edit original post. Here are the courses that we were offered in a better format:
Plantation Preserve, Palm Aire - Cypress, Palm Aire - Oaks Course, Miami Shores Country Club, Normandy Shores Golf Club, Trump National Doral - Red Tiger Course, Trump National Doral - Silver Fox Course, The Club at Emerald Hills, Woodmont Country Club, Eagle Trace, Jacaranda Golf Club - East Course, Jacaranda Golf Club - West Course

Any suggestions? Would you replace any courses?

    Thanks for your help

I have played most of those courses, but I moved up to Palm Beach about a decade ago, so it's been a while.
I would skip Palm Aire, they were never that great condition-wise, and I doubt that's changed. Jacaranda was never a favorite of mine either. Doral is ok, but I would try to get on Blue or Gold. Again, it's been a while for me down that way, if you want info on clubs further north - Palm Beaches, I'd be happy to recommend some. Have fun!!

    Thanks for your input.
We might go more up north. If we do that what public courses do you recommend?

Up north as in Palm Beach? Or farther north?

Just got back from a few days in Jupiter/Palm Beach. PGA Golf Club - Dye was a great course to play but if you get a chance the Palm Beach Par 3 is a must and so much fun.

Enjoyed playing The Breakers Rees Jones Course at Breakers West. Their Ocean course is short and well maintained (as expected) but more of an ‘executive’ track.
  10. I am playing the „Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course“ in Orlando, an outstanding Course.
    Enjoy your Trip…
  11. The courses you have listed are all over the place. Pretty far in between some of them. Miami Springs is a nice public course down by the airport and not too expensive. Owned by the city. Doral is pretty pricey, but usually in pretty good shape, and if you can get past the name, the blue course is fun and brings back memories from some PGA tournaments. Up in Fort Lauderdale, actually, West in Plantation, plantation preserve is another pretty nice muni. The other courses you mentioned in the Lauderdale area are not that great in terms of conditions. If you’ve got any connections, private courses are really the way to go.

Hey everyone. The post was asking advice for a trip last February. Since he has long come back from this trip, we can probably stand down on the advice until next new post asks a similar question.
