Not a lot of good choices in Daytona for golf courses - I would recommend LPGA - they have two courses

Whenever I get to Daytona Beach I always try to play the Daytona Beach Golf Club. It has two 18 hole layouts and I believe is owned by the city of Daytona Beach. I have only played the South course so far but found it to be a nice layout with a little bit of trouble but not too daunting. The South course plays 6229 yds. from the blue tees with a slope rating of 120. The North course is 6338 yds. and a slope of 129. Most of the holes are pretty much right in front of you so there are no real tricks. Given that this is a muni type course it has been in pretty good condition every time I've been there. I'm a senior player so costs are a concern. I paid around $35 for a weekday morning which includes a cart. I made a tee time when I called (to check out if they had any tournys/outings going on) but when I got there the course was pretty empty so I think that I could probably just walk on if I wanted to. When I finished the parking lot was fuller so I would suggest an earlier morning time. It has a pretty decent pro shop for a city course and there is a snack bar/grill right next door. I haven't eaten there so can't speak for the food, but it seems to be pretty clean and roomy. Hope this helps. Fairways and greens.

LPGA is a must. Also, Indigo Lakes and Cypress head are good.

Hey Ryan. My daughter use to live in DB so I played a lot of golf in this area. I would recommend these course to you.

Palm Harbor - Palm Coast

Indigo Lakes

The Pine Lakes and Palm Harbor courses are about 45 minutes north of DB but worth the trip. The LPGA legends is the top dog and LPGA Champions, and Cypress Head are about the same in terms of challenge. All listed I would recommend. Caution-be on the look out for snakes! Good luck...you will have a great time plying golf here.

We (My wife and I) visited Daytona Beach late last month. We both enjoyed the LPGA Hills course as the conditions were excellent and the lay-out was forgiving. We also played Venetian Bay in New Smyrna Beach. Some blind shots and conditions were okay but there were a few very cool holes which made it a fun course.
Enjoy your visit.

Take the short drive up 95 and go to the World Golf Village and play 2 great courses, The Slamer and squire, and King and the Bear. While there take a tour of the hall of fame and eat at Caddyshack. Well worth the trip.

Just a little recap on our trip.
Although not a golf specific trip, we were able to play a few rounds.
We stayed in Kissimmee for the first 6 days and played Champions Gate first. It was in pretty good shape and the greens were awesome. Great way to knock the rust off. We played Highlands Reserve later in the week. It was just ok but still nice to get another round in nonetheless.
We moved to Dayton Beach for the following week and played twice. First round was at LPGA International Jones Course and we had a great day and the course was in perfect condition. I went back later in the week and used their practice facility. Had a great time both days.
The highlight of our golf came a couple days later when we made the drive back to Orlando and played Lake Nona! What a treat! We did a little shopping in the pro shop, followed by a great warm-up session on the range and then went and hit some putts. The range, putting green and course were in pristine condition. This was right around Masters week so the greens were running fast! Can't say enough about the service of the staff and the condition of the course.
All in all, a great trip but not nearly enough rounds of golf as we had other plans as well.
