I just picked up a Special Select Del Mar last week and have been able to take it to the course three times so far, and I like it, definitely a different feel from my Odyssey Tri Hot 5K 7.

But I found a guy local to me selling a Phantom X 5.5 (2021 model) in mint condition with two head covers and two additional grips for $350. So after never really having a Scotty, I now have picked up two within a couple weeks.

You're doomed. This is just the beginning. :) Keep going.

    I don't see a problem, unless you're right handed.

    That's not a problem, that's a solution.

Congrats on the two gems. There are some collectors here in the TT group that have man caves full of Scottys. A few of them probably doubled their property value. I stopped at five myself.

It starts with 1 putter.......but never seems to end there.

I keep a few in the rotation!

I see no issue here. Also, the Phantom 5.5 is a very stable putter. Hopefully you are getting along with it quite well. I have multiple Scotty's and rotate a few of them. Between the Del Mar and the Phantom, you're off to a great start for a lefty. From one lefty to another, have a great day!

I have decided to stick with the 5.5 and give up the Del Mar, but now I want to send my 5.5 to the custom shop for some personalization. I did hear a rumor (little birdie) that they may be making more styles available to us lefties soon. Fingers crossed.

I’ve been thinking of sending mine to the custom shop as well but I have trouble justifying a $300-$500 associated cost on a Scotty over 20 years old. I game a Sonoma Classic.

Yeah, what I was going to do was about $300. I don't want to do anything special, just personalize it a bit with a splash of color. I wish they would refinish it in black, but they don't offer that for the Phantom line.

Good luck with that, the only good news is that Scotty doesn't do a lot of left handed putters. You won't have to worry about collecting the Holiday or My girl specials.

After getting a fitting to determine my arc and suggestions for stroke consistency, I’m now back to 3. A pair of 7.5’s (LH/RH) and a Cameron and Crown (RH) similar to a Del Mar.

I use LH clubs and found lead hand low in putting is more consistent. Using a RH putter allows me us use a more comfortable LH grip for lead hand low. The C&C is probably 10 yers old. Wish I remembered my wife had it before she gave up golf. It became my gamer this year when I committed to RH full time this year.

Now to resist looking at all the RH options I never had with LH putters.

I wanted one. I've got three. I know your problem :)
  16. I have the same 5.5 and im Lh too. Love it.
One negative about being LH and SC addict is that there is never a Lh mid round limited cover offered! You can send a putter to the shop and purchase one at the custom shop. At worst, a RH mid round headcover will go
On backwards and stay on the head withou issue.

I have the same problem or addition for Scotty Cameron putters. I have over 20 and still look for more to add to my collection. I know you can only putt with one at a time. Enjoy your putters.

The collection has started for you.

It started the same way for me and now I have about 15 putters.

    Enjoy the journey.

Great find! If I could buy a Scotty every week I would but I need to eat and pay my mortgage lol

Someone said, you don't own a Scotty Cameron, you're just a custodian for a period of time, just enjoy, but be careful you don't catch the collecting bug, it becomes expensive!
  21. You can never have too many Scotty’s. You just get more selective as you get older.

IT isn't the worst thing that can happen. OP has a 'blade' type putter and a 'mallet' type putter. If things start to sour, just make the change to the other putter.

Me? I have too many putters (including Camerons) that have been relegated to the dark closet!

I ended up selling the Delmar and keeping the Phantom (sent out for refinishing), just prefer a mallet style putter.
