  1. Bought one of the prototype Futura putters back in the day. Loved it, and still do, but, during the fat grip revolution I put on a Winn 1.18 grip. Gone thru several other putters over time but always came back to the Futura. But with the oversize grip if feels real light. The horseshoe weight on the back is etched at 35. Are there any, and could I replace it with a heavier weight?, and if so, would that throw off the front/rear weight ratio? I do have the 2 milled weights installed on the rear of the face.

I believe the "35" on the weight indicates the putter length, not weight. I've never heard any discussions about replacing the weight with a heavier version. Your Futura was pre-removable wights. The only way to get the weight to feel correct is to go with a lighter grip.
  3. You may be able to send it into the custom shop to be replaced...they made a few different weights for this model of putter (I have one as well and have changed the weight).

I am just not sure after all this time if the custom shop still has an inventory of weights....

Call and find out! Good Luck!!
  4. Funny I came across this. I have a 2005 phantom. Haven't played in a while and while carpet putting I thought it could have a little more weight. Good old lead tape perhaps? Not club engineer or anything but I was thinking on the outside near the ends of the horseshoe on the sides. Add some weigh and even more stability and try not mess with the launch off the putt by putting the weight on the bottom or top. Thinking too much?? :)
  5. Not sure if this is going to Titleist directly or another comment on this post (pending review) but if listening. Is any weight options available for the 2003-05 futura series?
  6. there are some after market weight inserts that go on the bottom side of the holes,
