    Good evening,

I was playing golf last month and noticed that one of the circles on the back of my putter had fallen out. I was just cleaning my clubs and a second circle came out. I sent this putter to the custom shop several years ago and they did great work, is it recommended that it be sent back there for repair?

    Thanks all,

    Jonathan

It's just a paint fill. I would recommned a simple DIY job with testors oil based paint. They offer translucent colors similar to Scotty's traditional fills. I have "personalized" 8 of my 9 Scotty's. I'm holding strong on my 2015 Holiday Roundback becasue it looks amazing!!

With respect and maybe a suggestion. Over years of cleaning the dots will come out. Have not had that experience myself. I just following the cleaning instructions that Titleist recommends for cleaning their clubs. Here is the recommended cleaning instructions for Here are their instructions plus Scotties recommendations for caring of his putters: Titleist drivers, woods, hybrids, irons and wedges can be cleaned with mild soap and water and then dried with a soft cotton cloth. We recommend your golf clubs and headcover be completely dry before storage.

Cleaning and Care for Carbon Steel Scotty Cameron Putters
The unique feel of certain Scotty Cameron by Titleist putter models results from the use of milled carbon steel heads. This material is susceptible to oxidation and rusting if left damp. To preserve the natural finish of these putter models, you are urged to follow a few simple guidelines:

    • Always dry your putter at the end of the day with the soft silicone cloth supplied.
    • We suggest storing the cloth in your cover during the round and even wiping down the putter a few times during the round.
    • Always use a dry headcover.
    • Never leave your putter in damp or cold atmospheres.

The dots did come out in my weights but that is fine because my putter is chrome and now my weights match the bottom. I was using a brush on the bottom one day and saw that the paint came off and just finished the job and liked what I saw. Otherwise I just use soap/water and a towel to clean it and clean it with a towel when playing.
