    I found this 2005 Newport on line and bought it. The previous owner had cut it down to 33” and painted it orange and added lead tape to the sole. I pulled the lead tape and shaft and sent it to the Custom Shop for a new paint job & reshaft (back to the original 35”). Added the Turf Wars cover and shaft band. It is definitely a gamer. Ball rolls so smooth and pure off of the face.

    First off awesome find I agree. May I ask what was the turnover time during this time of year for Scotty Cameron make over ship to ship from Carlsbad? Thanks

    I mailed it to the CS on 1/20. Received at CS on 1/24. FedEx back to me on 2/4 & received on 2/7.

    7 business days at the CS for a reshaft & paint job.

    I would like to get a Scotty putter, but I cannot find one that is upright to fit my stroke. They are all too flat for me and cannot be bent. I also like a simple design putter like the old png 0 blade putters. Any suggestions????

    Pat - I would suggest going to a fitter and getting measured/fitted. They can then give you a recommendation for a putter that fits your eye and your stroke. Scotty will surely have something that works for you

    Just got notice that mine is due back from the Custom Shop on Friday. The 3rd one that I've sent off. Not usually a lot done. New shaft, engraved, sometimes and extra line. I like to stand more upright so I've had all re-shafted to 36". 2004 Red X with insert, milled California Del Mar, and 2018 Newport 2.5 with insert. I like the feel of the inserts so I grabbed a 2018 instead of one of the new milled 2020. Love them all. The Red X is usually the go to, the Del Mar, slower greens, but the Newport is coming on strong too. about 2.5 weeks turn around.
