    I just joined Club Cameron for 2018. Imagine my surprise (and dismay) when I saw a large number of the same people selling their swag already on eBay. I understand that the USA is built on capitalism, but why would I pay $300 for the Journeyman bag when I can pay $99 and get the whole club kit? I realize there is a healthy secondary market for Scotty items, but we are 3 days into January, and the market is flooded. I wonder, does Titleist/Scotty have an official stance on this?

    I know you can only buy one club kit, and it seems as if this continues, the powers that be might be apt to put a stop to providing cool items for the club. Just my two cents about the subject. People are already selling items they haven't even received. It just seems disingenuous, and not something the game is built on. My fear is that these few "opportunists" will ruin it for the rest of us down the line. I have a Scotty that I bought used, and a few other accessories. I love the product, and it is pricey - but worth it.

    Let me step down off of my soapbox, and here what your thoughts are...it's a discussion forum, right?

    I really have no issues with people flipping the SC items. If there is a market with buyers, then more power to them. I personally do not buy the items from fleabay, so really don't pay attention to their prices.

    A few of my buddies collect and sell SC stuff. I game what I buy.

    Some join simply to turn a profit......the American way.....all about choices.....not my thing.......wait until the collector head covers come out and see how fast they get on "fleabay" (I like that handle, Tim)......not designed to happen that way, but it does......this has been going on for many years......

    Yeah it pisses me off when i see this BUT what are you gonna do? I'm sure Titleist is well aware of this but it's a free world and have to agree with Tiger on what he said...

    I've seen it too many times when I was a Scotty Cameron Club member.. Couldn't get a head cover in time and within minutes they're on fleabay.. If i really want it that bad, i'll hold off for a few months b/c eventually prices do come down when they realize the price they're asking for is ridiculous... And this latest Club Cameron kit, yeah not sure why people would sell these on fleabay already. Doesn't make any sense to me...

    Now if we're talking about fake items and stuff like that, I think that's where Titleist/Achusnet would take a hard look at those items..

    But this has been going on for a long time.. I mean I've seen PLENTY of TT gears on fleabay.. It stinks but what are ya gonna do...

    I agree with Tim but can also see your point as well. This kinda falls into the "adult getting autographs to sell" category. If there's a market for it, then really the blame (if that's what we call it) should be on the buyer.

    However, the unfortunate part is that someone who wants the Club Membership for themselves and not profit may not have the opportunity because there are a good amount of folks who buy this when first available to just sell the stuff online.

    I don't foresee Scotty or Titleist minimizing or eliminating the Club perks just because some get sold online.

    Like was mentioned, I'm most surprised that people pay the premium for a single item rather than just joining the club and getting it all.

    I get the prior year stuff going at a premium since it's out of production but Club Cameron is the one Scotty package available to anyone almost all year so why not take advantage?

    I've heard a few people join simply for access to the releases so they flip the items in eBay to recoup cash and apply it to releases. That said, why set a 300% markup?

    On lighter mark ups, international buyers might save on shipping in import tax if they can work the eBay system over buying a club Cameron package directly.

    With the club kits, they are not limited and it is not taking something from someone else. If they sell 10,000 memberships there will be 10,000 kits out there. Buying limited items to flip bothers me more because it takes one away from someone who will need to buy it at a higher price.

    If there's a market for it, people will sell it. IMO if you buy something, you have every right to flip it. I know plenty of folks who pay for their Cameron additions by slinging product. What I don't understand are the people that buy the stuff. Like you said, you can get the whole kit for half the price of just the bag.

    I do get upset when I see people get TT stuff (which is free) and then flip it on fleabay. I feel that's a little bit different than something you purchase. Just my .02, but as long as people are willing to buy, there will be people willing to sell.

    In the I missed out on the release this time but aware that there are people turning out on eBay and the like looking for a profit...

    Personally I think it’s wrong to do this...

    There are some honest people out there who just want to own the latest releases for them self and admire the peices for what they are...

    Like to see these people buying and moving on for instant profit banned from a Club Cameron...
