I am considering buying my brother-in-law's 35" Scotty Squareback putter as a gift for my son for after the 2017 golf season. He needs to practice hard, play hard and really step up his game this year to earn it (Fair trade). Golf season starts here in WA in a couple months and want to reward him for a job well done. With that being said, should I send it in to SC Custom Shop to change out the shaft to a shorter 33" shaft and change out the weights or should I just get it cut down and still change the weights? I'm curious if anyone has done this before, seen previous discussions or know if a Kit to make this happen. Thanks for the input.
