The Newport and Newport 2 have a Plumbers "L" upside down neck while the 2.5 has a short flow neck. The 2.5 has more toe flow than the 2....so they will feel different during the stroke.

Tiger used the Newport 2 for years, if that means anything.

Also, the Newport and Newport 2 have different flanges..the Newport has more rounded character while the Newport 2 is more square but the putters will perform the same.

Choose the Putter that performs and fits your eye the best...
I'm a Newport 2 guy...I love the Classic Look and Feel.

I think you have to spend time with each of the putters and see what feels the best and looks best to your eye. Spend time rolling putts and see what "feels" the best. This is one of those feel things that only you can decide. Once you spend time with all three and make the final choice, you can then be confident that the putter will give you the stroke and results you are looking for.

I've been using a Newport 2 for the last six seasons and they will bury me with this club. I play a couple of courses where they like to keep the greens alarmingly fast and this club never gets me in real trouble. I've never had a putter that felt this balanced and lead to as consistent a stroke as the Newport 2. Its not the sexiest in the Scotty lineup anymore, but its the best.
