I played golf in high school and was always a pretty decent putter. Like most other high school kids, I played with my Dad's old clubs (1997 Fat Shafts - straight awesome) which included a Fat Shaft putter. It was always really basic and I never really thought about my putter much until the last couple years when I've gotten back into golf on the regular again.
Last year, my Dad sent me a 1997 Newport as a birthday gift. For whatever reason, I struggled with the change in weight and offset head that was different from my Fat Shaft putter until recently. All of a sudden about 8 weeks ago, I started draining putts left and right. The feel on this putter is just incredible and every round seems to get better and better. I'm a high handicapper but in my round last week I birdied 3 of the last 4 holes all on putts of 20 feet or longer. Thank you Scotty!
