That's a good list.
I would add:
11) Never take the headcover off around concrete (this coincides with # 10 above).
12) Never "show off" your Cameron (get cocky) at the local course. It might disappear. (see # 9 above).
13. Never do the Chi Chi Rodriquez putter celebration. Didn't end well for someone I know.
14. Never put a wet Cameron in the headcover without wiping it down.
15. Never disregard # 10 above. Just had to reiterate that one.

Where in the bag do you put your Scotty; I have Newport 2 with a Mid-Staff. Bag with 13 clubs don't like to bend my Scotty Head ..Cover..........?

John,
I like you list, but I don't fully agree with No. 8. I think everyone has a different desire for what they want in a grip (size, shape, weight and feel) and there are a variety of great putter grip options on the market for people to choose from when it's time to put on a new grip. After all, a lot of Titleist staffers that use Scotty's use Super Stroke grips.

Yes look at Jordan Speith for example he has a superstroke flatso on his putter

Like the list john #1 was very funny my pro added a guy to our group last week that wanted to play he had a newport that was spray painted white. I asked him why did you ruin your putter, he said he did not like the glare.

3-Putt.
You forgot 3-putt.
I thought 3 putts were impossible with a Scotty, I'll never admit to that! ha ha

I agree with you there! From time to time I'll putt in my living and the boys will be like "Daddy, can i try".. I cringe every time but so far we've had no accidents..
Good one Justin!
Ryan BDestin,
John, I feel as though you forgot an additional five
1) NEVER use pinnacles as a practice ball. (its unfair to the Scotty)
2) Don't even consider leaving it in the garage.
3) For the love of all things holy DO NOT slam it into your bag after a 3 putt or worse
4) Don't take full swings with it, because I'm waiting for it to go sailing into the pond and watching your face turn from rage to regret
5) If I let you see my Scotty please don't ground it on the cart path, even the slightest tap makes me cringe.

I'd like to add, cover your Scotty with annoy a Scotty headcover....speaking of which, I am looking for a new headcover that I don't have to take out a 2nd mortgage to get...it's pretty hard to find one without having to drop at least a c note :(

Nothing wrong with DIY, you just need to refinish it well. I've done several putters that come out looking mint
