I would go try several models and have someone watch you putt with each.  I used a png Answer for years and tried a couple different putters in between.  When I finnaly decided to full the trigger on my Scotty Cameron I went in thinking a Newport would be best for me.  The pro at my club took me to the putting green with several different models and watched me putt with each one while asking questions the entire time.  I finally ended up with the square back and love it.

Martin, I had this exact same question before I went for my pro fitting at The Gallery in Encinitas, CA.  The master fitter, Spencer, told me after our session that any one of my 5 Scotty Cameron putters would work for me.  If you have a great feeling looking at your putter, that one of the most important things.  Putting is mental.  If your mental environment is relaxed and confident, then you will make putts.  Pick up as many Cameron putters as you can and try them.  Whatever feels right in your hands and in your mind, that is the right putter for you.  Good luck!  Vern

I would recommend going to your local pro shop that sells Scotty Cameron's and ask if you can demo a few on their putting green.  I find the putter the most personal club in the bag and you need to LOVE the way it looks, feels and rolls.  Your putter gives you the confidence to shoot lower scores.  A Scotty Cameron is an investment so take a lot of time trying different ones.  I would start with the square back since that's what caught your eye first.  Good luck!!

Being that these putters are all major league top of the line, I went for what putter that looked great to me.

I believe if you like the look of the club, it is all going to work! Newport Select !

martin g, Putters are a personal thing. One type of putter may be perfect for me, but it may not be right for you. My suggestion to you is to go to a pro shop or big box store (I was at Golfsmith Thursday and they had a good selections of Scotty's ) and try them all. I'm sure you will find "the right one" steve b

I too have a slight arc with my stroke and I have a Scotty Cameron Laguna. I have tried mallets in the past but I just can't get a consistent stoke with them. I actually like one of the new golo putters but cannot switch due to my fear of inconsistent puts(most likely in my head). I would suggest trying several models and go with which one feels the best to you. It usually isn't the latest/greatest most popular putter either. Best of luck in your search. Brian F.

Hey Martin! I also have an arc in my stroke. I've been using a Cameron Monterey for a few years and like it a lot. Recently I read about the Golo 3 and it's supposedly good for arc putters because it allows you to not focus on straight lines so much. I guess the same could be said for the 5. It all comes down to what makes YOU feel confident. Happy hunting!

I own two Scotty's and each are different in design. I have a Studio Fastback 1.5 and a Select Newport 2.

I love the feel of both, but sometimes it depends what mood I am in that day and how fast the greens are.

I would make your decision based on looks and feel. If you have confidence standing over a putt with a certain type of putter, that is the one for you.

Good luck in your decision. You can't go wrong with a Scotty Cameron in the bag. #Liv2Golf

Have you looked at the Scotty putter selection guide? Lots of good info here: http://www.titleist.com/art-of-putting/

I personally prefer a mallet and was fit into a Dual Balance Futura X5. Love it so much I sent it off to the custom shop to have a top line milled and some custom paint done. Of course I was "forced" to go with the Jackpot Johnny HC and Shaft Band... but we've all seen those

  12. Jared L, That is one fine looking putter!!!! steve b

If you go to a shop with a good selection of Cameron putters, ask which ones are best for a slight arch.

Or, check Scotty's Putter Selection Guide:  http://media.scottycameron.com/images/media/PDFs/2014%20Putter%20Selection%20Guide.pdf .  In the Toe Flow section, the guide says to look for putters medium toe flow.

That said, any of the putters might look/work best for you.
