  1. very excited to see what happens with the mini driver, and if it comes to retail. I think it has the right head size and could be very playable off the fairway as well assuming the GT tech comes through in this offering. I would swap the three wood out, use this, and then drop immediately to a 5 wood which I’m finding to be a monster in terms of carry, height etc..

I'm also curious about the mini driver. I currently only have 13 clubs in the bag, so i can easily add this, if it's the right move. It could certainly be a good fairway finder.

I'm wondering if any of the Pros will be using it in Hawaii

I am right their with you my swing speed is pretty slow and I just switched to the 16.5 degree gt2 though and am hitting it as far as my AI smoke driver so I think it is gorging to be between this and the GT 1 driver in a higher loft when it comes out to see if I can gap either of them right over that but i currently use a cally mini driver on tighter courses because its only about 5 to 10 yard shorter then my AI smoke driver but finds the fairway better

I'll probably have it in the bag ASAP, the Strong 3-Wood is one of my all-time favorites, solid fairway finder. I play the 16.5 which is a beast as well. Exciting times at Titleist.
  5. I’m pumped for the mini. With as good as the GT drivers have been, I have very high hopes for the mini 280.
  6. I can't wait to add the GT280 to the bag!
  7. I’m already playing the 13.5 gt2. I figure more clubface means more fun. Will definitely be making the swap.

Anyone know when the GT280 will be available for preorder? I want one as well. I've been playing the 13.5 3 wood since the TSi days. Pretty much only off the tee, so that's why the larger headed GT280 is appealing to me for sure.

What is the size of the GT280 mini driver. The 3 woods are 200cc. Am I to assume that 280 means it is 280cc?

    Yes Chuck, it is 280cc.

I think 280cc is a pretty good assumption.

I’m looking forward to hearing more about this club as well. Played the 2014 Rapture 3 wood (13* & 212cc) for a couple of years and loved it both off the tee and fairway, but eventually retired it when I realized I needed a bit more loft (the adjustment was limited to 1/2” either way). Will be particularly interested in the selection of shafts; whether tipping is recommended; and which adapter the GT280 will have.
  13. The TSR 3+ and 4+ were close to what this Mini is going to be like....I felt these were not easy to hit off fairway without a very forgiving shaft...but off the tee amazing!
