This was my third hole in one. Interestingly it was my second one at this course. The first was 33 years ago on the first par 3 on the back 9. What made that one special was it was the first time my younger brother was visiting us in NC and playing golf here. It was a total mis-hit that somehow went in the hole. The second one was at Pine Needles, on the third hole. Which was special for two reasons; 1 it's my home course and 2nd was that my son was playing with me and witnessed. This third one the third hole on the front nine was special because a) I've been struggling a little with my game this week and 2) it was during league play of our weekly group of retiree's golf. Also, this was perhaps the best stroked shot of the trio. I never expected to be fortunate enough to get one hole in one in my lifetime, much less 3. It was so shocking and fun with the guys that we forgot to get a photo or even take the ball out of play.... which I lost on the 10th hole! (my wife was PO'd) Lots of fun!
