The par 3 7th hole is 167 yards long and is an uphill shot to a well protected two tier green. The club describe the hole as their signature hole! I managed to land the ball on the left hand edge of the green which allowed the ball to run across the green into the hole!

I had played the 1st 6 holes well and was only 2 over par (which is exceptionally good for me!). The hole-in-one took me to level par after 7 holes. Unfortunately, the hype of the hole-in-one and the prospect of an excellent round got in my head and I was back to my normal erratic self after the turn. I finished slightly better than handicap with an 87*
