I was playing with my mom yesterday. I birdied hole 7, a dog leg right par-5, then came up on the par 3 8th. From the tips, it was 184yds slight wind into my face, and dead into the sun. I hit a smooth 7 iron, but immediately lost the ball in the sun. It felt flushed but I had no idea where it landed. I go up to the forward tees with her, she hits, and puts it to about 20 feet.
As we drive up we only saw one ball, so I figured I was long into the rough - but then I noticed a pitch mark about 5 feet from the pin. I walked up then BANG my ball was in the hole!
After the excitement, I teed off on hole 9 - driver to right rough. Hit 5 iron to about 12 feet, and then made the putt!
Birdie, hole in one, birdie finish - awesome day!
