I play in a league and every week when we come to the sixth hole, I say to my playing partners: "You know I've never seen a hole-in-on so it would be great if one of you guys could get one." On Monday, we got to the tee and one of them said, "Aren't we going to hear the speech." So I told said it once again. I then hit a shot that I thought was close but wasn't sure. They were pretty excited at the possibility. We had to wait for them to hit their shots and as we started walking up I said, "I think I see the ball just beyond the hole." My playing partner John said, "Well if it is, it just moved. that's a leaf." When I got to the green there were no balls so I waled up to the back pin location and peaked in the hole and there it was. I now have a hole in one, but I guess I can still say that I've never seen one (go in),
