I woke up on the first Sunday of summer break to my 11-year-old daughter asking if we could get in a round of golf. I invited my brother in law to join us, but we could not secure a fourth person. They put a fourth with us and we started playing our round. We approached the 5th hole at Emerald Lakes in Elk Grove Ca, and my daughter said to me, "I'm probably going to hit it in the water.) Well, not only did she not hit it in the water, she drove the ball with a beautifully hit shot, landing just past the cup of the 111-foot, par 3. I had turned to grab my club as the ball was in flight and the fourth that was placed with us said, "Wait!! It's not done!" I turned around just in time to see the ball roll backwards into the cup. The three of us guys exploded with cheers as we were in awe of her accomplishment. She did not join us at this time as she didn't realize how difficult her accomplishment was. By the time we finished the course, everyone there had heard of what she had done and were all excited for her.
