It was a beautiful evening for men’s night at Thomson Lake Regional Park in Sask, on July 26, 2023. It was a shotgun start so I ended my round on Hole #3, which is a 160 yard Par 3 and is slightly uphill. The shadows were getting long when I tee’d up my Titleist Pro V1 on the last hole. I am a Senior golfer and I selected my 4 Hybrid as the shot was playing about 170 due to being uphill and the cooler air setting in. I made great contact with a slight draw and the ball landed on the front of the green, bounced once and rolled perfectly into the hole. After a few high fives we finished the hole and went to the clubhouse to celebrate. The hole in one was very special because my son was there to witness it along with a couple of other club members. The bad news was that there was 70 golfers for men’s night so the round was pricey, but I did win the deuce pot and closest to pin prize which helped offset the cost and the clubhouse gave me Happy Hour prices!
