New Years Eve round of golf on a cold sunny day produced my first hole-in-one. A par 3 over water and steep sand trap, my only hope was to just get over the water. Used a driver because it was windy and made it over the water and just barely past the sand trap then it was out of sight as it was an elevated green behind a sand trap. We got up to the green and did not see my ball, assuming it rolled off the green we searched for several minutes and then partner asked if anyone checked the hole and there it was! Bummed no one saw it go in but elated to find I'd finally joined the "Hole-In-One" club.
