On November 1, 2023, I hit my first hole-in-one after many years of trying! And, it was no cheapy either. This was hole number 9 at Athens Country Club in Athens, TX. It was from the back tees and 187 yards uphill to an unseen green. I ripped a 3 wood to get up the hill and hit it perfectly. As I arrived on the green, my partner and I were wondering where this shot ended up, and I briefly thought I might have gone over the hill, through the pine trees, and into the parking lot. Nope, I wisely looked in the hole first and there it was, my ProV1 4 ball much to my amazement! We celebrated one of the three bucket list sports dreams of my life as we reported this event to our golf-pro in the clubhouse. As the day proceeded, another sports bucket list dream came true as the Texas Rangers won their first World Series title! Praise God from Whom all blessings flow! All I am waiting on now is that pure par round of golf with no mulligans for 18 holes. I will get there with a ProV1, the most incredible ball ever played in golf! What a day I had!
