Day 2 of the 2023 Little Mill Member Guest is a round I will never forget. An elevated par 3, the 8th hole on the Blue course was 135 yards to the stick, probably playing about 112 yards. The team we were playing against had put a ball to about 4 feet, so we knew we needed a good shot to have a chance at pushing the hole. I hit an easy pitching wedge with a good amount of backspin into the sloped middle of the green just behind the hole. With the hole being so elevated, it was easy to follow the ball the whole way as it descended and hit the green about 10 feet past the pin. The ball bit, and it was the perfect vantage point to watch the ball spin straight back down the hill and into the enter of the cup. Before this happened, I have always regarded this as one of my favorite par 3's in NJ. This cemented that feeling forever.
