I recorded my third hole-in-one today, 10/7/23, during our club's annual 6-6-6 tournament at Indian Hills Golf Club in Stillwater, MN. A very chilly day in Minnesota having the weather go from 90 degrees earlier in the week to a cold 42 degrees. We just started our scramble portion of the tournament when I stepped up to the tee on our hole #7 playing approximately 90 yards with a 1 club wind and the flag just front and right of center. I hit the ball and one of my playing partners said "I think that sh*ts going in!" And sure enough, the ball hit and rolled about 6" into the hole. I knew I'd hit a good shot but never thought it would be that good. After my surprised club drop, the hooting and hollering began along with hugs and congrats from all. Just an amazing feeling. I used (as always), a Velocity Matte Green ball which has now been added to the two others from my previous holes-in-one. Needless to say, the bar tab was a bit higher than usual....LOL. Thank goodness for hole-in-one insurance!
