I've only started golfing in the last 5 years. Over the last two I've been struggling to break 100 on 18 holes and have only done that twice; The second time being Sunday 8/1 while shooting a 45 on the back 9. That would be known as my best 9 round ever only for a short period of time. On Monday 8/2 I decided to play again because I got a taste of what it feels like to play really well. I pared the first 4 holes. The 4th hole was a par 3 and my range finder calculated 90 yards. I hit my pitching wedge and ended up overshooting to end up on the fringe behind the flag. The 5th hole was also a par 5 and my range finder read 102 yards. Naturally I thought if I overshot the last one, I was sure to at least be on the green with the same technique. So that's what I did. My husband is the one that pointed out that the ball "disappeared" and I couldn't believe it! I ran up, looked down, and there it was, sitting pretty at the bottom of the cup. I finished the round with a 38 straight up and added a birdie to my list of "firsts."
