So about 15 years ago I quit playing golf, my goal was to get to a single digit handicap and was stuck at 10 for almost a year.... my kids got to the age they were playing tons of sports and I was coaching and spending a lot of time on that so rather than watch my game deteriorate because of lack of time to play I decided to quit altogether. It was 5 yrs before I touched a club again and even then it was just for a once or twice a year work related tourney. A month ago I decided that now that the kids are grown I should take the game I love back up. Not just to play, but to have something that keeps me active and something to strive for personally not work related. So I am bringing my single digit handicap goal back. Anyway, I played last Sunday and on a 145 yd Par 3 I hit a Pro v1 (all I ever use) with a 3/4 cut 7 iron and BAM got my first hole in one! I am taking it as a sign I am making the right decision and that the "golf gods" are welcoming me back haha. Pretty cool.
