I made my first hole in one last year at Painswick Golf Cub on a very quiet Friday afternoon, there were only 3 members in the bar who had played ahead of us for the round.

I bought them all a drink and the pro who had been incredibly friendly to us visitors that morning.

My wife and I both hit great shots onto the blind green, as we crested the hill we could only see one ball on the green. As we approached closer we could see one ball nestled in the hole. With anticipation that one of us was going to be celebrating our first Ace, we edged closer and lucky for me I was the lucky one this time.
