Putter counts as a club, if used. What 3 are you choosing?

If pushed to make a decision, I would have to say 3 wood and 7 iron in addition to my putter.

Ha ha ha love this question... I think it would depend on the course. Longer course, maybe 5 wood, 7 iron and wedge. Use the wood for a putter. Shorter course, 5 wood, 9 iron, and a putter lol

I have used 3 wood, 4 hybrid and 9 iron. Use the hybrid to putt with

    Putter, 23*hybrid, 7 iron

I would be lacking in distance but hopefully accuracy will balance it out. Bunker shots would not be easy...

3-Wood, 9-Iron, Putter. I have played in a 3 club challenge before and I played well with this combination.
  8. 3 is really tough. I would have to say stick with irons. Maybe 4-5 for tee shots, a wedge and a putter.

I’ve played 5 club rounds and that was hard enough.
  9. Driver, 4 iron & PW.

We have done this several times. Walking 9 holes with 3 clubs. It's actually a lot of fun, and you learn how diverse your clubs can be. My choice is always the same. Hybrid (doubles as my tee shots and putting), 7 iron, and pitching wedge.

Used to play this game a fair bit as a junior. Always went with 4 and 8 irons with putter. That was before hybrids were around. Today, I think a 3 hybrid that can double as a putter, 7 iron and 56.

We play that on a short course 7 56 and a putter makes you play better than you think you would.
  15. At my course a 3 wood a 6 iron and a 46 degree wedge
