  1.  Hi, everyone.

I'm Layne Savoie, one of the co-founders of WedgeCraft, a data collective that studies the "art and science of wedge play". Over the course of my career I've been a playing professional, teacher, NCAA coach and PGA professional. My partner and co-founder of WedgeCraft is Dr. Rob Neal, who has applied his years of experience in the field of biomechanics to understanding short game skills and technique. And now, we're also proud members of Team Titleist!

We'd like to share some of our findings and short game knowledge with the Team Titleist community, starting with the video above.  In this demonstration, I hit some shots as Dr. Neal explains the many benefits of training wedge play with the "trail-arm-only" drill, followed by the more challenging "lead-arm-only" version.

Give these one-arm drills a try and let us know if they help you to get up and down.  We're happy to answer any questions you may have.

We'll be back soon with more wedge related content, but in the meantime, please visit us at http://wedgecraft.com/

    Fantastic Drill and Video.
Definitely going to implement this into my practice routine.

  3. Thank you for the kind words Dr. K! This is a critical drill for any skill level. The one arm drill outcomes can match almost any two-handed version of the same shot when mastered. It will clean up technique issues and should improve ball control.

    all the best,

    Layne Savoie

  4. Could not get tape to run. It would start and stop almost immediately

I found this drill to be outstanding - really helpful in the understanding of the way a wedge swing should work.
