As voted for total Performance also look for feel, weight and set up. That's what I will look for when I schedule a fitting.

Im surprised to see distance control be so low. Then again these days its popular to try to hit everything as far as possible

Same. I know I'm going to miss a little left or right but distance control for me is #1 Knowing that an iron will carry that water, bunker, etc is crucial.

Always thought ball speed & trajectory were key which would provide distance control if consistent, & gapping between clubs if ball speed increases which is the current Titleist messaging re increasing 5mph speed between clubs during fitting to make sure gaps are maintained. For irons I like consistency of distance being tight thrn the left to right dispersion is simply the only problem I need to focus on. Tested the new T150s & they were spot on for distance control +/- 2y but needed help at 4i to maintain the gap from my 5i so T200 stepped in there.

I went for dispersion. More greens, lower scores. Distance control is important, but that's sort of included in dispersion.

All the factors are very important, and contribute to the overall playability of the new iron,
Dispersion to me is in a total of all distance control, landing angle, and spin. With these three being consistent will improve your ability to hold greens and score better on a daily bases.

I want total performance. Distance is important, but you need accuracy for it to be an advantage. Turf interaction is also important to have a clean and uninterrupted strike on the ball. It has to be the total package in order to perform your best. Titleist has a knack for this.

I strongly feel that distance control is the most important factor in iron use. Consistency in distances heps overall performance and confidence; if you know your 7 iron goes 160 yards you can determine what else to hit, especially on par 5s

Surprised forgiveness wasn't an option. That would be my first pick, a large sweet spot. Distance is important but not at the expense of flight, see no point in the trend of strengthening lofts by 3 degrees.

Distance control is by far the most important performance part of an iron. Club face controls dispersion.
Not mentioned in poll is look and feel which is a very important consideration as well. New T series irons have a very impressive look. Guessing by Titleist past performance they will feel great! Is there an option to have midsize grips installed?

GIR's are the part of the game that give me the most satisfaction! At 83 years young and a 6 h/cap, I drive/putt well BUT nothing brings a bigger smile then to strike the ball and see it land on the green! PURE JOY! Titleist woods and T-400 irons.

I voted for Total Performance, as distance control, trajectory, dispersion, and stopping ability all play important parts in a proper fitting iron.

Irons should be reliable, precision tools used when playing golf, and some forgiveness for when we may not strike them perfectly helps assure a result that is acceptable, rather than a result which would add additional strokes to your score.

Distance control for me. Guess that would mean forgiveness on mishits and minimizing hot spots.

By the way, my fitter really emphasized angle of descent during my recent session. Thought it interesting that no one chose that attribute in the survey, at least up to this point.

Total performance and dispersion for me.

Of course Total Performance is also a key factor in success in any round I just feel that for me ball striking has improved so much from the switch in irons from almost three years of playing TM P760 irons which I played extremely well with and now playing with a mix or combo irons of 4-7 irons in the new Titleist 620CB and 8-PW in the new Titleist 620MB and feel that my Distance Control is most important as my setup at address as well as my actual ball striking while finding the center of the iron is the best I’ve ever seen in my play. With these irons (Titleist 620 CB & MB) along with playing the New Titleist 2023 Pro V1 (Yellow) and griping the iron with the Titleist Players Glove that my overall performance and my overall confidence is at its highest point in quite a while.
