T-MB 718 Irons - Black sole finish wearing off

    Team Titleist: I've had my 718 T-MB irons for about 9 months and love them! However, I have noticed that the black finish on the sole of the club is starting to wear off. I realize it's only cosmetic, but I like the black contrast. Anything I can do about that?

    I have the same issue on my 4 iron but I don't really mind it. I think it's from the range mats or it could be sandy links or both.

    My 716s have worn some.

    It eventually evens out. Looks worse in the beginning.

    Give it a little time. Just makes them "character grade."

    Yes I have the same problem, I paid over £1000 for these irons and after a few rounds have the black wearing off

    I have emailed and sent photos to Titleist but they have asked me to send the clubs back to them for inspection, I don’t have a spare set and don’t want to be without them for 3 weeks or so, I have also asked if I can take to an authorised Pro which seems like a logical customer care solution but that’s not possible either

    They are lovely clubs to hit but would b
    Not recommend to buy because of this obvious design flaw

    I have the exact same wear pattern on my CNCPT-01 irons. Has there been a solution for this?
