Keep 910 D2...or get 915 D2?

Hello all, I'm sure this has been discussed a good bit but just wanted to hear some thoughts.

I love my 910 D2, it is the best driver I've ever had. I'm considering getting the 915 D2 but I'm not really convinced that I will see much improvement on the tee box. I've only had the opportunity to hit the 915 on a simulator. I hit it well but not much better. However, in my experience the simulator does not necessarily translate over to the course (I'm usually much longer on the course).

Just wanted to see if there were any thoughts from people who skipped the 913 and went from 910 to 915 and what their experience has been.

    Thanks!

I didn't skip the 913 (went from 910 to 913 to 915), but if I were to compare my 910 to the 915, the 915 wins. I hit it longer, straighter and get more roll than I did with my 910 (and like you, I love my 910). Just a thought, but maybe wait and check out the 917 when it hits the market (if you're going to upgrade, might as well get the latest).
  3. I didn't upgrade to a 913 as it received mixed reports. Comparing my 910 (which I loved) against a 915 on Trackman gave me an extra 10 yards which was convincing enough but I also preferred the feel and trajectory of the 915.
As soon as I bought it I went on the course to make a direct test and on my 2 best hits I achieved.......exactly 10 extra yards with the 915.
Since then I've tweaked the set up and it's so good I'll skip the 917, unless it comes with a guarantee of 300 yards dead straight every time :)
But it may be best for you to get fitted for the 917.
    Good luck.
  4. I'm in the same boat. Loved my 910. Going through a full bag fitting at the end of the month. Went to a simulator in advance to hit my current 910 vs a 915 vs the M1, the latter two having masking tape on them. Hoped that having my driver in there, would allow me to compare relative to one another, as I have the opposite problem of starting to try to kill balls in the simulator.

Confirmed that I hit Titleist drivers much better, and was getting 15-18 yards more distance with the taped 915 with a slightly tighter dispersion and good feel.

Given that 915's have gone on sale locally, that's what I'll be after. If I'm only updating every 6 years, not too worried about being one product line behind for the significant savings. Gives me more flexibility to get a shaft upgrade if that's what I'm fitted for, which will likely have the greatest effect on the consistency I'm after.
  5. I skipped 913. 915 is better than 910. Longer and feels great off the face. The club that's even better than older versions is 915 3 wood. It's a rocket! If you can wait for 917 probably worth doing that but expect 915 prices will be down now or soon and they a great clubs

I agree with Barry B. At this point, I'd wait to have a look at the 917. I switched from the 910 to the 915, but for reasons of accuracy and consistency. I didn't find the 915 longer unless you catch it thin.

JP; The 915 driver is a great one and went from the 910D3 to the 915D2 with no regrets. I might recommend that you consider the new 917D2s that should be hitting the market in November. From what I am hearing they are a bit of an improvement over the 915 when it comes to distance and the accuracy is great. That about four months away. If my memory is correct from the past, they start doing fittings in late October for delivery in early November. I would wait on the latest technology if I were you. Read the posts on the 917s. The pros are killing them. Cheers, Chuck.

915 was part of a rental set I played while traveling a couple of weeks back. Loved it. Never hit the 910 so I can't provide comparison you requested, but seemed like 915 was a little longer and straighter for me than he 913 I have in my bag. My two cents: if you are still in love with the 910 and hitting it well, why change?

So many Titleist fans swear by the 910 and still select it as their all time favorite driver. I play the 913 and it has been a massive benefit to my game. The 915 is a great deal right now with recent price drops. If money is no object try the 917 or try a 910, 913 with a nice shaft?

I switched from a 910 to a 915 two weeks ago. I hit one using the same current 910 shaft I have and seen small gains, then I tried a regular shaft Blue 60 Diamana with the 915 & gained 20yds. I too hit it straighter than my 910 and can shape a tee shot easier than my 910.. Always check out different shafts when hitting drivers they flex different from one to the other... But do check out the new 917 as well

Currently playing the 915d3, 8.5*, previously was playing the 910d3, 9.5*. I skipped the 913 because I didn't see any improvement in my results, however with the 915 I gained about 10 yards of carry, and substantially more roll out. I also find the 915 to be much more forgiving. Shots anywhere on the face seem.to retain a great deal.off ball speed, and benefit frome what seems to be less sidespin.
Personally, I think it would be a worthy upgrade, but as previously mentioned the 917 is right around the corner, and you could just wait for that.
Either way you go, you can't go wrong, the 910 series are arguably the best drivers Titleist ever produced, with that being said, I prefer the 915.

I also went from 910 to 913 to 915. Each model gave me more distance and roll out. At this time I can't wait to hit the new ones (917).
And work with a Titleist fitter to get best results. Good luck!

I went from 910 to 915, accuracy is much better. When getting fitted, I tried a bunch of shafts and degrees to get the best numbers.

I jumped from 910 to 915 after trying various shafts and lofts. My accuracy is much better with the 915, glad I made the switch

I love my 910D2. Skipped the 913D2. Tested with the same shaft and only saw 2-5 yards improvement. Would like to test the 915 but may wait for the 917!

    Awesome opinions guys, thanks.
The 917 will be a bit too much to spend so I think I will go ahead and upgrade to the 915 when I find a good price.

Any thoughts on lofts? My 910 is a 10.5 I have in D1 (9.75). I normally wouldn't be able to hit an 8.5 well but I was really hitting the 915 8.5 degree really straight and at a good trajectory on the simulator.

    Any advice on loft?

    Thanks again!

JP: Go see a fitter and get the right shaft and head set up. It is definitely worth it in the end. You can go to a box store or go on line and order a 915 when it goes on sale, which is a good driver based on information from non professionals and get it home you may hate the club after taking it to the course. Leave a bad taste in your mouth. I get fitted for all my new clubs and never look back or have regrets. Once them put me on that monitor and put all the numbers together based on the heads and shafts combinations I have hit, then the only person I can blame is me and my bad swing. Do you self a favor and not short change yourself. We are all on the same team here and it is to help, not fit, and to give helpful advice. Get the right set up and you will enjoy your game more. With the utmost respect. Cheers, Chuck.....

I ve gamed all three.I prefer the 915 over the 910 and '13.The sound of the 915 is louder than the other two but the performance was better for me.The 915 is more forgiving.I have a 915 D2 7.5 and love it.I found I had to go down in loft to optimize my results.I had a 8.5 in the 913.
