  1. Ball flight the same or different. Distance off driver vs irons. What are your thoughts.

Completely different animals. The higher spin on drives with the X helps my low flight. The AVX and Left Dash just don’t go far for me. But I suffer from a slow swing. Did a on range fitting last year and the X was a clear winner.

Totally opposite on the ball spectrum. Suggest you use the virtual fitting info on the website to understand the four premium ball characteristics.

AVX is low flight, low spin.
Pro V1X is high flight, high spin

It can provide some challenges. For example, if you're a high spin player on your irons, going AVX can cause problems with your driver to be too low spin, so you may have to increase your loft to increase the spin.

If you're looking for less spin, you're probably better off with a low spin driver and learning to control spin on your irons.

The balls could not be in more opposite directions. I am a natural X player and I played over the weekend and was able to play a X and the AVX side by side.

The X is longer for me, in some cases by a full club. I am just used to the X and what it can do. I will say the AVX does not spin as much so mishits are more playable.

To really take advantage of the AVX, you need to have speed that will help get the ball in the air. I like playing the AVX, but I have to work just that little bit harder to get the ball flight up there, but the X does it naturally for me.

If your natural shot is really high in the air, to a point where it might be ballooning, then the AVX could be a good choice but given you asked about X and AVX you are likely using the X for its high launch qualities.

As Dale said look at the website for the characteristics of the X, AVX, Left Dash X and V.
  6. completely different balls, AVX is lower and driver distance is similar IMHO

I got the AVX a mile off the tee. For my short game I don't get the spin on the green to stop my ball that I want. For the Prov1x I get the amount of spin I'm looking for but lose the distance off the tee blocks. I can't say for sure how much. Enough for me to notice. What does that say about my swing?
