I’m an avid golfer who plays 100 plus rounds of golf a year. I am always trying out new balls. 2 years ago I discovered the amazing performance of the AVX. As someone who has has a high ball flight, the AVX certainly brings down the flight adding to driver distance. Spin approach to the green, is like a lawn dart . One of my favorite parts is the amazing soft feel off of my Scotty Cameron. It amazes me how few people actually play this ball. Thank you Titleist for allowing the AVX to be part of the buy 3 and get one free deal. Can’t wait for them to come in. Who else has joined team AVX?

Obviously the AVX has developed a big following and is a great option in the Titleist three-ball premium lineup. For a ball that is not professionally played, therefore does not get the media attention, it has grown in popularity solely on its own merits. Glad it works for you and for many others.
  3. absolutely love the AVX. I'm so glad i switched from TP5 to it.

I play AVX for the same reasons.. slightly lower ball flight, great spin, and amazing feel on the green.

I have to agree with you that I like the AVX and it is very underappreciated. I found a few on the course and used them within the past year. Great ball and I like the spin around the greens.
  6. I’ve spent two seasons looking for a better alternative to AVX and it cannot be found. Bridgestone, cally, srxn, I have tried them all. If you are a high ball flight hitter who values a softer feel then AVX is the best ball to use. By far!

I agree, was going back and forth between the ProV1 and Prov1X, enjoying the AVX with lower ball flight and the great feel.
  8. I also agree. I have been playing AVX for a few years now and enjoy them. I received some new test AVX from Titleist recently and see an improvement from last years balls. I tend to hit the ball very high so AVX helps me with that. I drive the ball straighter. I love the feel around the greens and believe the new balls help me be more precise with my short game.
  9. The AVX is a really solid ball with a nice soft feel… AVX actually stands for Alternate for V and X meaning it’s a similar ball to the Pro V1 and the Pro V1x. Definitely a ball that is in my rotation!

Titleist makes a ball for everyone, so do not think it is underappreciated. Being played by those who do appreciate the qualities of a less spinning ball. A great quality ball. Have played it, like it, but like the Prov1 better. Hakuna matata.
  11. I love the AVX! It has so much spin that when I even remotely strike it well with my vokeys is just stops when it hits the green. And it has added over 5 yards to my driver carry.

After hours of research and playing the ProV1x for a few months, I finally put the AVX in play and I am amazed by the results. It was only one round so far but on a pretty difficult course I couldn't believe the amount of control I felt with this ball. Between the tee box and approach shots it gave me the confidence to hit a shot knowing how the ball was going to perform how I wanted. Look forward to many more rounds with the AVX and hoping for the same results.
