ProV1 questions

    First a statement(s), the first ProV1 came out I didn't like it because I got no spin around the green,  eventually ProV1x came out I liked it because I got plenty of spin around the green.

    Everyone said I was crazy that I got more spin from the ProV1x over the ProV1.........that is until Golf Magazine did a ball test and it very clearly showed ProV1x had more spin than the ProV1.

    I haven't bought 2010 ProV1x, just ran out about 3 months ago, my insurance agent gave me some Farm Bureau logo 2010 ProV1's.

    Now the 2010 ProV1 definitely out performs 2009 ProV1x around the green and off the driver.....basically everywhere.

    So my question, does the 2010 ProV1 really outspin the 2010 ProV1x?

    And another statement and question, I've seen on here about prototype balls, are you really planning on changing the ProV1?

    I found a Pro V 1x and didn't get nearly as much spin as I did from the Pro V.  Even chipping around a practice green with both balls I was amazed with how much more roll out the 1x had.  

    That said, the Pro V1 was a 2010, and I have no idea what year the 1x was, but it was in good shape (pretty much new) and not found in a water hazard.

    I prefer the ProV1, I think the ProV1x flies a little higher.  My courses are in the N.E.,
    not much rain this season, high rough around the greens, with tiny greens and accuracy is important to score. Hitting to the front edge of the green is the name of the game here, similar to Donald Ross type courses, I like putting up hill to the cup,
    when I can.  Every putt is almost a birdie putt opportunity.

    I will test the balls on Labor Day, like they say on the ball....TEST......so we will
    see how they play.  Don't know what ball I will use after the test, but there is
    one thing for sure, it will say, "TITLEIST" on it.

    i just did my test run on the new ball and i am not a fan no spin around the green but plenty from 100 out, now off the tee box it soared. all in all i am not a fan and will play the pro v
