Hey guys, my swing speed is 95 to 98 miles an hour. My handicap is 15 to 18. Without seeing me hit a ball which Titleist Ball would you recommend I play?

Really depends on what part of your game you want to improve, need more roll go with the velocity, need less roll go with the trusoft. I am a prov1 fan and if you want the best and don't mind the price then prov1 and prov1x are unmatched. A slightly cheaper option but also a great ball are the nxt and nxts, but only you can make the final decision.

I would suggest you get a sleeve of NTX Tour, NXT Tour S, Pro V1 & Pro VIx and play a round with each. As much as I would love to say X ball is perfect for you that could be false. You should hit each ball and play a round with them having an open mind and not blaming the ball for bad shots. Ball selection is a personal preference along with how you strike it. I play Pro V1x most of the time but when I need more action (harder greens not as receptive) I switch to Pro V1. The way I play I can get more action on the ball around the greens with Pro V1. Sometimes I forget I have Pro V1s and play with them. If I'm not playing much (hardly happens) I'll use NTX Tour the first few rounds.

I would play a pro v1x based on what you stated
  5. Couldn't recommend the prov1 more. I have used it for the last 3 years and seen my handicap tumble. Although the price is higher than other brands it is far superior in terms of distance and control around the greens.

Ball selection is not so much about swing speed as it is about how you want the ball to feel and perform. EVERY player could benefit from the ProV1/Prov1x. They are not made for any specific swing speed. they are a true performance ball. It the price doesn't matter this is the ball for you. If you want an extremely soft ball then the DT Tru-Soft is the ball for you. It is the softest ball Titleist makes. If you are looking for a value ball that still has a good amount of spin then look to the NXT Tour/NXT Tour S.

I would get a sleeve of each and see which one feels the best to you and performs the way you want it to on the course.

Simply put, playing the ProV1 or ProV1x will always be the most performing ball for your game. Most amateur golfers miss a lot of greens, so playing the ProV will give you the best chance of getting up and down or at least holding the green and two-putting for bogey (often not a bad result for a 15-18 handicapper).

However cost is always a factor, so you may want to test the TruSoft or NXT Tour range to see how you get along with them as well. They are also great balls in their respective price points.

Start with the DT TruSoft. Best bang for the buck of any ball on the market.

I don't think anything compares with the performance of the ProV1 or ProV1x. If you lose a lot of balls, look into buying them used. You can find used balls in great shape online for less than half the price of new balls which makes losing them a lot less painful.
  11. I recently was given a bag full of Pro v1x balls, and one was a Pro v1x +. I have played with for a couple of rounds and really like everything about it. Where can I get some more?
