    LAST YEAR I ORDERED 4 DOZEN PROV1X BALL CUSTOMIZED WITH MY NUMBER AND NAME. WHEN THEY CAME ALL OF THE BALLS HAD BLACK NUMBERS. OFF THE SHELF PROV1X  HAVE RED NUMBERS. CAN YOU TELL ME WHY?

    One of the things that is used to differentiate the ProV1 and the ProV1x is the color of the number on the ball. ProV1 numbers are black and ProV1x numbers are red. In the case of a ball that is custom imprinted, it can be ordered with different colored numbers than the standard.

     Are you sure custom colors can be ordered on the number?  I tried last year and got my name in a custom color, but not the numbers.

    OK, LET ME RESTATE MY INQUIRE.  I ORDERED 3 DOZ. GET ONE FREE, WITH MY NAME AND A SPEC. # (9) ON THE BALL . THE NAME CAME IN GREEN ,AS ORDERED ,THE NUMBER CAME BLACK.....I ORDERED PROV1X'S - SHOULDN'T  THE NUMBER HAVE COME IN RED FOR THAT BALL ( IT CAME IN BLACK)?

    Hi Jim,

    If you ordered Pro V1x the play number should have been red. We do not offer an option to have a custom color used for play numbers. There may have been a mix up and potentially you received Pro V1 golf balls. Does the sidestamp say Pro V1x?

    THE SIDE STAMP WAS PROV1, THE BOX THEY CAME IN WAS PROV1X  THE NAME WAS GREEN THE NUMBER (9) WAS BLACK? CONFUSING

    Hi Jim,

         I NOT TRYING TO MAKE WORK BUT, I GOT FITTED FOR A NEW SET OF AP1'S LAST APRIL AT COOL CLUBS IN STAMFORD, CONN AND THE PRO TOLD ME I SHOULD USE PROV1X' INSTEAD OF THE PROV1'S I USED FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS, SO I SWITCHED. NOW I AM WONDERING WHETHER I DID OR NOT.!!!
    AT  THE END OF THE SEASON, WHEN I RAN OUT OF MY SUPPLY OF CUSTOM BALLS I BOT OFF THE SHELF PROV1X'S AND THAT'S WHEN THE DOUBT STARTED! 
    THAT'S THE REASON FOR THIS INQUIRE
