Which ball to use in Colder Weather

  1. With fall golf around the corner in Michigan, I have heard that balls like the DT Solo and Noodle perform better in the cooler air. Anyone have any experience with this, or is there any science supporting this claim?

    Generally what I have understood is that when the temps dip below 50 or so degrees you will get a bit better travel from a lower compression ball, so the answer probably depends on what you are using as to whether you even need to consider changing it out. One thing I can tell you is keep them inside until you are ready to hit the links, if you leave them in the trunk over night you are in for some sting in the morning as they will harden up quite a bit sub 50.
