  1. Switched from tour soft to prov1. Not sure what ball is ok for me. Have 118 ball speed with 8 iron which goes 155 to 160. Driver is 130 with an average distance of 260 to 280. Am 59 years old.

Getting fit with a Trackman can only quantitate what you can decide qualitatively by comparing 2 different balls from chipping to pitching to a mid- iron to driver. The pro’s also pay attention to the window the ball travels through. Whichever one gives you the confidence to score your best wins.

I agree with Don. Find a fitter and do a Trackman fitting. There are many variables (including subjective ones like sound and feel) which can contribute to your decision of which ball to play. I do believe the right ball for most golfers will be one from Titleist's premium line...many advantages including building confidence in your game. Good luck!

Any honest assessment will be based on your ball flight and can only be accurate if your consistent swings are monitored. We all have great/good/bad shots we hit during a fitting. A good fitter will monitor your trajectory and spin, make a few small swing adjustments, hopefully get you on a path to better shots. I swing at it pretty well, I prefer the ProV1 for a lower ball flight. It is less compression than the X, but not any longer. They both feel great to me and perform well in the wind.
