Titleist golf ball loyalist Scot Hend (Pro V1x) of Australia won the 2016 Queen's Cup at Santiburi Samui CC in Koh Samui, Thailand for his second win in 2016 and his ninth title on the Asian Tour.

Hend closed with a 4-under-par 67 to finish with a total of 15-under-par 269, good for a one-shot margin of victory.

“I've been playing very good golf,” said Hend after the victory. “It's nice to win again."

Hend’s other win this year also came in Thailand, at the True Thailand Classic in Hua Hin.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Prom Meesawat of Thailand (Pro V1x) closed with a 1-over-par 72 to finish tied for third.

Sunday's win moves Hend to No. 74 in the Official World Golf Rankings and a step closer toward qualifying for the Olympics in Rio, where golf will return for the first time since 1904.

"There are three more weeks for the Olympic qualifying," said Hend of his Olympic aspirations. "It'll be nice to go the Olympics and be one of the first Australians to play in it since golf's re-inclusion. It's all these different things that you chalk up in your career and when you're finished, you just sit back and say this is what I did."

THE COUNTS: Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the event with 98 players in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nearly five times the nearest competitor with 20.

Titleist also led the field in the irons and wedges categories.
