It was a Titleist golf ball 1-2 finish at the U.S. Senior Open, where Titleist golf ball loyalist Kenny Perry (New Pro V1) edged Kirk Triplett (New Pro V1x) by two shots.

It marked the second career U.S. Senior Open crown for Perry, who closed with a 2-under-par 68 en route to a record-setting 16-under-par 264 victory total, eclipsing the previous mark of 267, which he set during his 2013 victory at Omaha (Neb.) Country Club.

Perry, 56, was the only player to post four rounds in the 60s at Salem Country Country in Peabody, MA for the week. It was his 20th victory since he turned 40, which includes 11 of his 14 PGA Tour titles. The Kentucky native has now accumulated four major victories on the PGA TOUR Champions.

The victory gives Perry a berth in next year’s U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. When given the news, Perry smiled broadly.

“I feel like I have a lot more golf in me,” he said. “I get to play the young guys again. I can’t wait.”
