Inside the Ropes at the US Women’s Amateur with Trillium Rose

For female amateur golfers, the US Women’s Amateur is one of the most prestigious and coveted championships that one can qualify for — its trophy decorated with the names of some of the greatest female golfers in the history of the game.

The beginning of this week marked the start of the 120th anniversary of the event, contested at the famed Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD and competitors will tackle the 6,561 yards, par 72 layout of Woodmont’s North Course.

With this year’s US Women’s Amateur marking the club’s first USGA Championship, we wanted to get an inside-the-ropes look at what the course will demand of the world’s best. And who better to ask than Woodmont’s Director of Instruction and Titleist Staff Member Trillium Rose?

Hear from Trillium in the videos below to get her takes on course management, crucial tee shots coming down the stretch and more. Thanks, Trillium for the inside knowledge!

Next up, Trillium gives us an inside look at some of the design nuances including deep fairway bunkers, high lipped greenside bunkers, tight lies and more. Take a look and hear Trillium’s best tips on how to approach these features.
